What is a Storyverse?

A Storyverse is a curated universe of interconnected stories, and media — all living under one roof.

Think of the MCU, the DCU, Lord of the Rings, Game of Thrones, or Harry Potter. All of those are narrative franchises — one big story world expressed across books, films, games, music, art, and more. That’s exactly what a Storyverse is.

Here on StoryverseStream, every Storyverse is creator-owned, creator-built, and creator-driven. No studio interference. No rights carved up and sold off to different production houses. No adaptations meat-balling the source material. Just the full, uncompromised vision — the way it was always meant to be experienced.

Why does StoryverseStream exist?

Because the old model is broken. Creators and Audiences deserve better.

The traditional entertainment industry chops up IP, farms it out across studios and agents and middlemen. By the time a story reaches audiences, the creator’s original vision is barely recognizable, and the creator earns pennies on the dollar of what’s left of their creation. We built StoryverseStream to change that.

This platform exists for three groups — and we take all three seriously:

For Creators — a home base and launchpad for your narrative universe. Build it. Own it. Grow it on your terms.
For Audiences — one login, one location, every piece of a franchise you love. Discover new worlds. Support the people building them directly.
For Contributors — a collaborative community where your skills have a home and the creative work is real.

There’s a story for everyone. We’re just here to make sure those stories have somewhere to live.

How do I get started?

Easy. Find a Storyverse you love and subscribe. That’s it. Find your Universe and devour it until you’re satisfied!

For $5/month you get full access to everything inside that Storyverse. Subscriptions auto-renew monthly, and you can cancel anytime.

Prefer to try something first? Standalone rentals are $3 and don’t auto-renew. No commitment, just good storytelling.

Where does my $5 actually go?

$2.50 goes directly to the Creator. Every quarter, paid out for the subscribers who showed up for their world.
$2.50 goes to StoryverseStream — which funds payment processing, platform hosting, development, legal contract labs, accelerator workshops, mentorship programs, contributor support, and everything else that keeps this ecosystem running.

Your subscription isn’t disappearing into a corporate black hole. It’s building something real that encourages creativity and the spirit of community.

Why is the subscription price so low?

Most of our Storyverses are just getting started, their libraries are growing from the ground up. Additionally, we all know the world is expensive right now. We believe great storytelling should be accessible.

As Storyverses grow and their content and libraries fill up, subscription prices will rise to match their value. We’re just not there yet. In the meantime, volume matters — the more subscribers a creator has, the more momentum they have to keep building. Every subscription counts.

Who is StoryverseStream for?

If you’ve ever felt like Hollywood would dice up your world, farm out your characters, and hand you back something you don’t recognize — this platform is for you.

StoryverseStream is an incubator and accelerator for worldbuilders. We give you the infrastructure, tools, and community to build your franchise your way — AND keep full ownership of your IP while doing it.

How do I become a Creator on StoryverseStream?

For a Storyverse: At least one piece of intellectual property you own the rights to (copyright registered), plus the associated lore that makes up your universe.
For a Standalone: One form of media IP you own the rights to.

Once your application is approved, you’re in. Upload your content, set up your Storyverse, and start building your subscriber base.

What’s the business relationship?

You’re operating as a B2B provider. You grant StoryverseStream a temporary license to host and distribute your content on our marketplace — accessible on desktop, tablet, and mobile. You keep your IP. We keep the lights on. That’s the deal.

How does the revenue split work?

Simple and transparent:

You keep 50%. For every $5 subscription, $2.50 is yours — paid out quarterly, clean.

We keep 50% to run the platform, fund the tools you need, and grow the ecosystem that serves you, AND the creators and contributors still up-and-coming behind you. We are both incubator and accelerator to get your Storyverses before audiences and connect you to contributors.

No hidden fees. No complicated royalty structures. Just a straight split between the creator and the platform that supports them, paid every quarter.

What’s the policy on AI content?

AI-generated narrative fiction writing is not permitted. This is a platform for human creators. The stories, the characters, the worlds — those need to come from you.

AI tools for visual, audio, and other media formats are permitted as placeholders. We get it — not every creator has the budget to hire collaborators from day one. AI can help you express your world visually while you’re building. We just ask that you treat it as a placeholder, not a permanent solution — and that you work toward replacing AI-generated media with human-created work as your Storyverse grows.

We’re not anti-AI. We’re pro-human creativity with AI as a tool — not a substitute. Use it wisely, balance it with real collaboration, and never let it replace the human connection that makes stories matter.

🎨 FOR CONTRIBUTORS

What is a Contributor?

Contributors are the builders, artists, performers, writers, game designers, musicians, and creative professionals who help bring Storyverses to life. If you have a skill that serves a narrative universe — there’s a place for you here.

How do I become a Contributor?

Register as a Contributor to set up your profile in the Contributor Directory. You’ll be visible to Creators on the platform who are actively looking for collaborators and work-for-hire talent.

From there, it’s about connection. Creators find you, or you reach out to them. Collaborations are built on creative fit and mutual agreement. Network in the Green Room, a Discord-style lounge set up specifically to help artists collaborate with other artists.

How does compensation work for Contributors?

Contributors assigned to active Storyverses can accept tips for their contributions to Storyverse builds and platform work. Compensation structures for specific work-for-hire arrangements are agreed upon directly between Creators and Contributors.

StoryverseStream's legal contract labs are available to help ensure those agreements are fair, clear, and protective of everyone involved.
